BoobBaby Winter Update

5 December 2011 By Sarah App

OK, so I’ve been a bit slack with the updates recently, but I promise there has been lots going on here at BoobBaby HQ!

As fans of our Facebook page and followers on twitter will know, we are expecting our second BoobBaby in March! So the next couple of months are certainly going to be interesting! Our son is still having his boob, although he has cut back to just feeding in the mornings and before bed in the evenings. I never expected to still be breastfeeding during pregnancy and certainly never gave any consideration to tandem feeding, but it doesn’t look like our son is going to give up his mummy milk any time soon, so we’re about to take yet another path on our breastfeeding journey.

Things are certainly gaining momentum with BoobBaby and we are getting busier and busier, which is fantastic. We have just very recently (just last week) made some updates to the website. Most of the changes were made behind the scenes and included an update so that the website should now work correctly when using the new Internet Explorer 9. You may also notice that we have finally added a discount code facility, so watch out for BoobBaby discounts!!

Our fabulous web designers have also been busy re-vamping our newsletter which should be hitting inboxes this week. The newsletter will include our first discount code which gives subscribers 10% off their next order (excluding delivery – offer ends 31/12/2011). So if you haven’t signed up, what are you waiting for!!! Click here! The theme this mouth is wrapping up warm this winter. The newsletter includes information on the various products we have that can help you keep warm whilst breastfeeding this winter. This will also be accompanied by a post on our blog with hints and tips for keeping warm whilst breastfeeding in public.

Talking of the blog, this was launched at the end of September. Keep an eye out for product reviews, competitions and special offers. I will also be blogging about our experience of breastfeeding whilst pregnant and tandem feeding and will be posting general posts about anything breastfeeding related.

And so to Christmas! Not long to go now! Here is some information about Christmas Delivery:

Our last posting dates for delivery before Christmas are as follows:

Standard Delivery (3-5 working days) – Saturday 17 December 2011

Express Delivery (next working day, either via our courier UKMail or via Royal Mail Special Delivery) – Thursday 22 December 2011

We will still be dispatching orders up until Christmas Eve (Saturday 24 December), however please be aware that orders posted after the above dates are unlikely to reach you before Christmas.

Wednesday 28 December – Friday 30 December  2011

We will be dispatching orders as normal between Christmas and New Year.

Other Information for the Christmas period

We’ll be dispatching orders as normal up until Christmas Eve and again between 28-30 December 2011. For Express Delivery orders, please be aware that your order will be dispatched the next working day and will then be delivered the next working day (for example, if you make an order on 25 December and use Express Delivery, your order won’t be dispatched until Wednesday 28 December for delivery to you on Thursday 29 December).

Whilst the phone will be switched off over the festive period (from Christmas Eve to Monday 2 January 2012), we will still be receiving and answering emails as normal.

Coming up in 2012

2012 is set to be a very busy year for us! You may notice our absence around the time our second baby is due, but we are hoping to be able to dispatch all orders as normal. We will keep you all updated using the website, blog, Facebook and Twitter.

We are also hoping to introduce some new products including the fabulous BreastVest, some new nursing necklaces and some new breastfeeding reminder bracelets. In addition, our customers will notice that we are no longer stocking Dreamgenii cushions, this is due to Dreamgenii’s new policy on supplying to independent retailers. But not to worry, we are currently trying to find a replacement and are looking at both Widgey and Theraline nursing cushions (any other recommendations gratefully received)….watch this space!

I am also busy looking at reusable bamboo nursing pads so again, watch this space!

We are always happy to hear from our customers with any suggestions on the products you think we should be stocking. Also we are always happy to hear any comments on the website and our service. Just drop us an email info@boobbaby.co.uk

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our customers for supporting us during 2011 and wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
